High Elo Society

You are cordially invited to join the exclusive ranks of the High Elo Society.

Come together with like-minded individuals to engage in intellectual discourse, friendly competition, and the pursuit of excellence.


Rules to join the club:

1) Your account must be at least 1 month old, newer accounts shall not be allowed. 

2) You must be at least 1000 rated to join the club

3) People with inappropriate usernames or profile pictures or have a bad history with clubs will not be allowed.


General guidelines:
This club is a competitive club is designed for players looking to improve their chess skills. You can discuss topics related to chess here. 

You can discuss various topics related to chess, like the recent opening trends, grandmaster games, recent tournaments, chess drama, controversy. 

You can also discuss about your own games, any questions about your own games, book suggestions, and various other topics related to improvement. 

This club also offers its members to post puzzles. You can post puzzles from real games or ones that you have composed. We will be glad to take a look.

You can also create forums asking people to me or people with membership to review your games if you do not have membership.

I will try to make regular tournaments after the club crosses 150 members.

I will be posting two puzzles daily - one will be a tactical puzzle, one will be positional puzzle. It will be similar to the actual daily puzzles - the difficulty keeps on increasing. Easiest on Sunday to toughest on Saturday. I will also post the 'Endgame of the Week'. There will also be explanations for the daily puzzles (both tactical and positional) by me.


Rules:
1) No swearing or use of bad language. This club is very strict related to this, so you will be immediately banned if you are found using bad language or swearing. If a person is abusing you, please ignore that person instead of countering back, just report the person and send me a message about that user. I will take a look at your report. 

2) Please maintain discipline. As I've already mentioned, this club is competitive and for learning about chess. Therefore, please refrain from posting topics that are not related to chess, like, 'What is your favorite fruit'? You will warned if you post such a topic, and muted for 7 days if this happens twice. If this happens a third a time, you will be banned immediately. 

3) No spamming. Please avoid posting forums that promote spamming. You will be banned if such forums are posted. An example: 'If this forum gets 500 comments I will play 10 games in the Bongcloud'. 

4) Please, no revealing of personal information of yourself or other members. No personal detains like gender, age, face should be revealed. I will delete such forums and I shall mute you for 1 day, as this is a serious violation of chess.com TOS

5) Please do not beg for admin or super admin when you are joining the club. I shall promote only a few trusted individuals as admins and super-admins to monitor the club. If you are really helpful and trusted to the club, you shall be promoted. If you beg for admin or super admin many times (more than 3), I will mute you for 5 days. If you want a role immediately after joining the club, you shall not be given it unless you earn it. The criteria for promotion? It is in the public description and the forum. Please do not join the club if you think you cannot earn the promotion or you want it immediately.
