The D44 analysis Club

This group is exclusively dedicated to playing thematic games, analyzing and discussing the D44 position (Semi-Slav defence anti-meran Botvinnik variation) 1d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bg5 e6 5.Nf3 dxc4 6.e4 b5 7.e5 h6 8.Bh4 g5 9.Nxg5 hxg5 10.Bxg5 ... This is one of the most complex positions in chess today and one of the hardest to play, tactically rich and can become a hack and slash bloodbath on the board. I found this position years ago and love it dearly but have lost nearly every game I have encountered it in. Therefore this group is born. I plan to have vote chess and team matches but dedicated only to thematic D44 style. Challenges will only be accepted if it is presented with a D44 starting position.
