I'm 78.  I love correspondence chess,  I play at two different websites. I play live chess at my senior center some times. My wife of 41 years passed away recently of dementia I'm still very sad. I have also  realized I have mild dementia. I guess  most elderly do.  I play 14 day time control at both web sites I play at.
