GM Shreyas Royal is an English grandmaster. He was invited to the 2023 London Chess Classic, where he finished seventh out of 10 despite entering the tournament with the field's lowest rating by nearly 200 points. The tournament was his second GM norm, leaving him one norm and some rating points away from becoming a grandmaster. In August 2024, Royal made his final norm at the British Championship and became a GM-elect, making him the youngest grandmaster in British history.
