Bio

Luis Paulo Supi is a Brazilian grandmaster, chess coach, and streamer. Supi is the second-highest-rated player in Brazil (as of April 2021) as well of one of the most popular chess streamers in his country.

As an international master, Supi won the U-20 Panamerican Championship in 2016 and the 2017 Magistral Acre, ahead of three GMs. He attained his grandmaster title a year later. On May 2020, Supi quickly rose to fame after beating GM Magnus Carlsen during a blitz game on Chess.com. His 18-move masterpiece against the world champion was later voted as Chess.com's Immortal Game. The Brazilian cemented his fame as a great blitz player after defeating GM Ian Nepomniachtchi a few days later.
