Gregory Kaidanov is a Soviet-born American grandmaster, head coach of the United States Chess School, and content creator for Chess.com. He reached his peak FIDE rating of 2646 in 2002 and peak USCF rating of 2749 in 2004. Kaidanov was inducted into the U.S. Chess Hall of Fame in 2013.

Kaidanov won many tournaments throughout his career as a chess player. In 1992, he won the World Open in Philadelphia and the U.S. Open. In 2002, he won the first Aeroflot Open ahead of a field consisting of more than 80 grandmasters. In 2021, Kaidanov won the U.S. Senior Championship.

Kaidanov is widely considered to be one of the best chess coaches in the United States. He has created numerous videos for Chess.com that you can check out here.
