The Cappelle-la-Grande 2013 tournament took place from 23 February - 2 March in France.  The tournament was a strong and huge 9-round Swiss Open with over 550 players taking part!

The competition finished with Sanan Sjugirov of Russia as a narrow winner on tie-break after no less than 8 players scored a total of 7/9 points.

Top seed Krishnan Sasikiran finished in 44th place, despite being only 1 point behind the leaders.
