Neckar Open 2012.jpgThe Romanian-born GM Andrei Istratescu, now representing France, has won the 2012 Neckar Open in Deizisau, Germany. with a score of 7½/9.

Konstantine Shanava also finished with 7½ points, but Istratescu won thanks to a superior tie-break score.  There were fully 13 players just half a point back on 7/9, led by Etienne Bacrot who claimed third place.
