Started chess at age 52. My goal is to be Grand Master by 55. This assumes that you can be a Grand Master with a 1500 rating.

I believe you can achieve great things in your adult years. For example, I started playing the drums at age 47 and now I play concerts in sold out stadiums, and when I say sold out stadiums, I mean alone in my basement.
