About me

I am a National Master from Southern California, and I recently graduated from Texas Tech University. During my time there I competed on a top collegiate chess program directed by GM Alex Onischuk. I learned the game at the age of 6 when my dad taught me basic strategy, but it wasn't until I was 12 years old when I began to improve rapidly solely by playing and competing in tournaments. I then made it a goal to achieve the NM title without a chess coach or reading books because I wanted to show that it is possible to become a strong player at this game on your own through hard work. I achieved my goal at the age of 17 before attending Texas Tech!
