Thank you for checking my profile, My name is Nomikos Spanos, I started chess at age 5,taught by my older brother. Around 10-11 years old i stopped chess as it wasn't that popular in my native greek island. I started chess again in university when i was 18 years old and never stopped since. Realising i wasted many years without studying i could not face openings as well as my opponents and therefore i created my own chess style through anti theory openings. I am the inventor of the 3. b4 Alekhine line,and more novelties in openings such as the Englund Gambit. I have played 16 out of the world's 50 top players,including World Number 2 Nakamura and World number 3 Caruana. Nowadays i have settled down in Kalymnos ,where we will open a chess club and hopefully we will be able to provide to kids,what wasn't provided to me as a kid.
