I played chess as a child and was taught the rules by my granddad. As an adult, I dabbled in correspondence chess for a while and really enjoyed it. Then life somehow got in the way. I am married, but after having moved a lot, I have really no social network to fall back onto. I decided to try something new and have decided to take up chess again and this time to learn it properly.
