I had been away from the game for a number of years. I used to be fairly good over-the-board. Certainly, not nearly world class status, but held my own at about expert level before real life took me away from serious study of the game about 40 years ago. The years have left me awfully rusty. Getting back into the game, but my strength is not what it was years ago, and frankly probably never will be at that level again. At this stage in my life, I have neither the time nor inclination to train. At this point, chess is casual fun, with no aspirations for greatness. I handle coffee-housing pretty well, so if you come to play me, bring a decent game and some strategy, otherwise I will find a way to punish you swiftly.
