     I have retired as Director of the C&O Family Chess Center, but remain as the Senior Coach.  Currently the Center organizes and runs scholastic chess, summer, and online programs under director Ross Pancoast [redross].  I continue to offer private coaching and the online Zoom classes.  I conduct a regular online 'Meet and Chat' session on most Saturday mornings at 09:00 EST, to answer your questions and get feedback from any of our members.  I may also be easily reached by C.c 'message' to CoachOmar.

     I am a USCF Life Member, formerly a Certified USCF Chess Coach (retired) and full-time, professional, chess teacher with more than 40 years of experience.  I was also, formerly, a vice-president of the Maryland Chess Association. 

     I have always specialized in teaching beginners and intermediate level players (regardless of age) including parents and other adults ("It's never too late to have a happy childhood!").  The Montgomery Magazine published an article about our C&O teaching in April of 2021, which begins on page 34.
