An ordinary fella who lives in a house where no-one else plays chess. So I thought I'd try it this way, and if I make a few friends along the way, that'd be a bonus! My Dad taught me to play many years ago and the love of the game has been with me ever since. I won my school tournament when I was a boy but I'm an average player.
