I'm Alyena ( not my real name xD), a 17 yo climatologist from Yukon Territory!

I go by she/they pronouns and proudly identify as lesbian! I was born in Oymyakon, Sakha Republic the coldest town on Earth, located in remote Siberia! I moved to Ontario from Sakha when I was 10, and moved to Yukon when I was 15! My love for the environment has been a driving force in my life, and I’m passionate about climate science and advocating for a better and safer future for our future generations!

I am a queer activist 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️, I believe in the visibility and representation of all! I want to help create a more inclusive world for everyone. I also consider myself a socialist and a Cascadian nationalist because I care deeply about my local community and our culture! I truly believe we can build a fairer society that puts people and the planet first! (Death to Fascism and Capitalism :3) 

When I’m not studying/researching or fighting for change, I'm usually playing music gigs with the girlz xD (I’ve been playing guitar for about 9 years!) or I'm out on a cycling trip! Summer of 2024 I cycled across North America from Vancouver to Halifax! I’ve also visited every Canadian province, and soon I’ll be visiting my last territory Nunavut on a research trip!
